The International Training Course on Practical Operation of Physical Protection System at Nuclear Facilities will focus on basic elements of a Physical Protection System (PPS) and the practical operation of these elements in detail and as a system to protect nuclear facilities. The training strategy will introduce trainees to the role of international instruments and IAEA recommendations in the development of a national nuclear security regime; legal and regulatory framework of the State nuclear security regime for the physical protection of nuclear facilities; national threat assessment and Design Basis Threat (DBT) and the technical basics of PPS. The trainees will also have practical exercises in the field and in the classroom.
