This course will provide participants with an improved understanding of the implementation of the IAEA Nuclear Security Series (NSS) No.13, Nuclear Security Recommendations on Physical Protection of Nuclear Material and Nuclear Facilities; (INFCIRC/225/Revision-5). The course will also discuss IAEA nuclear security support activities that assist Member States to strengthen physical protection measures at the relevant facilities and enhance cooperation of various national  authorities in charge of nuclear security functions.

The objective of the event is to provide the participants with a better understanding of the implementation of Nuclear Security Recommendations on Physical Protection of Nuclear Material and Nuclear Facilities (INFCIRC/225/Rev-5) (IAEA Nuclear Security Series No. 13) and to discuss the IAEA’s supportive activities in nuclear security, so as to assist the Member State to strengthen its physical protection measures at the relevant facilities.
