22-25 November 2022 - International Workshop on Integrating Nuclear Security Applications in Major Urban Areas

The purpose of the event is to raise awareness and familiarize law enforcement and national security officials with the process of integrating nuclear security applications into existing security measures in major urban areas. The threat of nuclear terrorism continues to be a defining challenge that requires coordination of capabilities throughout a national government and local authorities. Terror attacks in major urban areas across the globe have made that threat more urgent. This exercise has been designed in collaboration with the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL). It aims to facilitate the exchange of experience on integrating nuclear security applications for major urban areas. This event builds on the outcomes of a pilot workshop held in New York City, United States in December 2017, an international workshop held in Buenos Aires, Argentina in November 2018, and an international workshop in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in November 2019.

19-23 September 2022 International Nuclear Security Advisory Service (INSServ) Guidelines

The objective of the workshop is to train experts who will support future INSServ missions on the use of the new IAEA Services Series  No. 39, International Nuclear Security Advisory Service Guidelines, published in 2019.
