31 October – 04 November 2022 - Regional Training Course on Computer Security Fundamentals for Nuclear Security - Vienna, Austria

The objective of this event is to train trainers and instructors (subject matter experts - SMEs) on the computer security fundamentals for nuclear security training course. The SMEs will learn the best way to deliver the fundamental elements of nuclear security and how to provide the course participants with an understanding of the IAEA Nuclear Security Series guidance and implementation techniques to protect computer-based systems to establish an effective computer security program.

14-18 November, 2022 - National Training Course on Conducting Computer Inspections for Nuclear Facilities - Cairo, Egypt

A new Information Management training course on Conducting Computer Security Inspections at Nuclear Facilities for regulators and competent authorities. The course will include a framework for an inspection program, required laws and regulations for computer security, and how to conduct inspection activates to verify and validate compliance to computer security.

5-9 December 2022 - Regional Training Course on Computer Security for Industrial Control Systems of Radioactive Materials - Vienna, Austria

The objective of this course is to introduce computer security concepts, controls, and conduct hands-on demonstrations and exercises associated with implementing computer security on Industrial Control Systems (ICS) to ensure the security of radioactive material. Attendees will gain an appreciation of representative systems, such as instrumentation and control (I&C) and physical protection systems (PPS), and how IAEA guidance can be applied to ensure computer security.

29 Aug - 2 Sep 2022 - Regional Training Course on Conducting Computer Security Assessments - Tokai, Japan

This training course provides Member States implementing computer security programmes with lectures and exercises demonstrating good practices and sample methodologies for assessing their computer security programme. The course is based on IAEA nuclear security guidance including Nuclear Security Series No 17 Conducting Computer Security for Nuclear Facilities and the non-serialized document Conducting Computer Security Assessments at Nuclear Facilities.

20-24 June 2022 - National Training Course on Conducting Computer Security Assessments - Chakri, Pakistan

The purpose of this training course is to provide training in methods and processes for conducting computer security assessments at nuclear facilities or other radioactive material facilities, to share information on techniques and evaluation methods to be used during the conduct of an assessment to best determine the computer security posture at a nuclear facility, and to facilitate information exchange on good practices and assessment methods for information and computer security.
